General arrangements for the recognition of prior learning

General arrangements for the recognition of prior learning are based on the contents of the programmes or courses studied, the results obtained, or the extent of courses evaluated with ECTS credits and the evaluation of these courses. Upon written request, it is possible to have courses or portions of programmes recognised which were completed previously in a different AMU programme or at a different post-secondary educational institution.

General arrangements for the recognition of prior learning abroad

Students who completed their secondary studies abroad and wish to study in a Bachelor’s programme at AMU must establish their credentials with an officially recognised document that confirms their validity in the Czech Republic. Officially, this document is called “Rozhodnutí o uznání rovnocennosti (platnosti) zahraničního vysvědčení v České republice” (Decision on the Recognition of Equivalence (Validity) of a Foreign Attestation in the Czech Republic). This Decision is issued by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.
