Sports and leisure facilities

Prague offers a wide range of opportunities for sport and recreation.

The AMU Sports, Rehabilitation and Movement Centre must rent premises suitably equipped for exercising in order to perform its activities. Apart from a small gymnasium, it does not have its own exercise and sport facilities.

The Centre’s goal is to realise such instruction that will enable all students to become integrated into a system of movement both during their studies and afterwards, and in view of the artistic focus and professional needs of AMU students, to achieve a full education in movement. The Centre tries to make students understand that there is a deeper connection between movement and their artistic focus, and thus tries to equip them with a commensurate knowledge of movement, professional physical fitness and habits, and how to preserve this fitness.

To a limited extent and by agreement with individual teachers, those (outside AMU) interested in our exercises can participate in regular courses, on condition of membership in the Sport Club of Arts Schools (SKUŠ).

Hours and courses are published on the website of the Sports, Rehabilitation and Movement Centre.
