All of the buildings at AMU are connected to the computer network that you may use free of charge, for example, for e-mail, looking for information sources in the AMU libraries and the Internet, setting up your own homepage and other documents, and other activities that do not contravene the Rules of Use of the computer network at AMU.
Freely accessible computers are located at all the faculty libraries, at the Computer Centre in the Rector's Office and Administration building, Hartig Palace, at the Halls of Residence in Hradebni street, and to a limited extent in the corridors of the faculties.
We will set you up with an e-mail account, e-mail address, and individual space on the server at the AMU computer centre, on the first floor of the Rector's Office and Administration building, Hartig Palace, at Malostranské náměstí 12. Except for Wednesdays, we are here for you daily from 9 am to 4 pm. In order to obtain access to the network a valid AMU student record book or AMU ISIC card, and a written agreement to abide by the Rules of the AMU computer centre, which you can obtain at the centre.
The employees of the Centre will be happy to assist you with any questions you may have, either in person or at email@example.com.
Updated information is currently available at www.amu.cz, under “computer centre”.
On behalf of the AMU Computer Centre, we are looking forward to working with you.
