THREE TRAINING PROGRAMS ORGANIZED BY A TRAINING AND NETWORKING PLATFORM MIDPOINT ARE BEING HELD FROM MAY 3 TILL MAY 9, 2019 IN LITHUANIA

Three workshops focused on the development of feature films are in progress from May 3 till May 9, 2019 in Kaunas, Lithuania. All of them are organized by a training platform MIDPOINT which operates under the auspices of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.

One of these programs is MIDPOINT Feature Launch. This unique program is aimed at emerging creative teams (filmmakers, directors and producers) from Central and Eastern Europe who are developing their first or second feature film projects. Nine feature film projects go through an intensive four-module program focused on script and project development as well as other funding and co-production possibilities.
Simultaneously, this program offers a specialized training for emerging script consultants who join the creative process of project development.
The first residential workshop of this year-long program was held in January 2019 in Trieste, Italy, the second has started on May 3rd in Lithuania. The third workshop will be held in collaboration with Karlovy Vary IFF. Within this workshop, the projects will be presented to an audience of industry decision makers. The final session will take place in January 2020, again in Trieste within the prestigious co-production market When East Meets West.

The second workshop of Feature Launch, hosted by Kaunas, Lithuania and organized in partnership with Lithuanian Film Centre, is being held from May 3 till May 9, 2019.
