In accordance with Section 8 of Act No. 111/1998 on tertiary education and with Article 4 of the Statutes of AMU, Assoc. Prof. Jan Hančil, the Rector of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (AMU), announced the election for the Academic Senate of AMU for the 2021–2024 term of office.

The election shall be held on 3 and 4 March 2021.

With regard to the current epidemic situation, the election will be held for the first time in AMU’s history by means of an electronic vote, where it will be possible to vote using computers, tablets and mobile handsets.

The election application will be accessible to the members of the Academic Community upon entering their login information (user name and main password for the AMU network). Voting will be possible in the period from 3 March 2021 (8:00 am) to 4 March 2021 (4:00 pm). Should you prefer voting in person, it will be possible to vote physically on the premises of the Faculties on 3 March 2021 from 2 pm to 6 pm and on 4 March 2021 from 10 am to 1 pm. More information on the organisation of the vote including a detailed manual is available HERE.

Since this will be the first time that the election to the Senate of AMU is held electronically, we decided to organise a ‘test election’. During the test election, the members of the academic community of AMU can try logging in to the web application, marking their candidates and more particulars. The test election will be held on 25 and 26 February 2021. Find out more about the test election HERE.

AS AMU has 15 members in two chambers, the teachers’ chamber and the students’ chamber. The members of the teachers’ chamber are elected from among AMU’s academic workers.
