Staff Language courses

The AMU Language Centre co-organizes language education for AMU staff.

RULES FOR AMU STAFF PARTICIPATION IN CJP LANGUAGE COURSES

Please read the following rules before registering for your chosen course:

  • In a given semester, a staff member may attend only one course, regardless of the type of course.
  • Certificate preparation courses may be taken twice. If a course reaches full capacity, priority will be given to staff members taking the course for the first time. Conversation courses and other language skills maintenance courses may be repeated without limitation.
  • Language courses are open only to AMU employees on a standard employment contract (HPP in Czech) with a minimum 0.5 FTE. Staff members may also attend language courses during their probationary period.
  • A staff member may have a maximum of 40% absences. If this limit is exceeded, CJP will inform the staff member's supervisor. In the following semester, the staff member will only be admitted to another language course if there are places available after the course has been filled to capacity.
  • Participation in the course must be agreed in advance with the staff member's supervisor to ensure that the course does not conflict with other work-related activities.
