On this page, you will find information and guidance on safety at AMU, including important contacts and procedures for responding to emergency situations. In the event of an emergency, stay calm, follow the instructions of the emergency services and AMU staff, and follow the guidance provided on this page.
If there is an attacker in the building, leave the danger area immediately. If this is not possible, hide, secure your location (lock or block doors) and remain as quiet as possible. Call the Police (158 or 112) and follow their instructions.
A preventive video by the Czech Police shows how to react in the event of an attack by an active shooter: Run, Hide, Fight!
In the event of a fire, alert others and leave the building immediately using the marked escape routes. Do not use elevators, protect yourself from smoke, call the fire service (150 or 112), and, if possible, inform the reception desk. Follow the instructions of the emergency services during the evacuation.
In the event of a serious injury, call the Emergency Medical Service (155 or 112). You can also use the Záchranka app to request emergency assistance and access basic first aid information.
The Záchranka app is available in Czech, English, German, Polish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.
In the event of a blackout, do not use elevators, move carefully through unlit areas, and avoid potentially dangerous activities. Follow the instructions of AMU staff and evacuation coordinators.
During an evacuation, follow the green evacuation arrows and comply with the instructions of evacuation coordinators.
An assembly point is a designated safe place where people from an endangered building gather during an evacuation so that their presence can be checked and further steps arranged.
