In accordance with Article 3(1) of Rector's Decree No. 9/2020 (hereinafter referred to as the "Decree") and on the basis of the delegation of the relevant agenda No. PID AMU/22/023097 dated 30 September 2022, I hereby announce




for the allocation and use of institutional support for the long-term development of a research organisation in 2023

  1. The rules of the Project Competition are governed by the Decree.
  2. In accordance with Article 4(1) of the Decree, the competition for 2023 is open for both short-term (1-2 years) and long-term projects (3-5 years).
  3. Budget limits are not set for 2023 individual projects.
  4. Competition Schedule:
  • 19 October 2022 ... announcement of the competition
  • 28 November 2022 at 1:00 p.m. ... deadline for submission of applications at faculties
  • 5 December 2022 - 6 January 2023 ... meetings of the faculty grant committees (formulation of recommendations on individual projects for the AMU Grant Committee)
  • 9 January 2023 - 30 January 2023 ... AMU Grant Committee meeting
  • By 7 February 2023 ... publication of acceptance/non-acceptance/acceptance with budget reduction decisions
  • According to Article 6(9) of the Decree, interim reports shall be submitted by 15 February each year
  • Final reports shall be submitted, in accordance with Article 6(3) of the Decree, by 31 January each year

  5. Publication activities

The promoters of approved projects in which a publication is planned to be published by NAMU (AMU Publishing) are obliged to agree with the Director of the publishing house a binding timetable for the preparation of the publication for publication by 30 April 2023. Publication plans shall be submitted to the Editorial Committee according to the timetable specified in the Policy for Projects with Publication Outputs.

  6. Promotion

Invitations to cultural events supported by the projects must be sent to Hanna Št'astná, PR Manager of AMU ( at least 14 days before the event.




1. The rules of the Project Competition are governed by Rector's Decree No. 9/2020 as amended. 

2. For the year 2022, the competition is open to short-term projects with a duration of 1 or 2 years.

3. No limits have been set on the budget for 2022.

4. Schedule of the Project Competition

  • 7 Feb 2022 – Day of the competition’s announcement
  • 28 Feb 2022 at by 1 pm – deadline for submitting applications at the Rector's Office OVVP (room 3007, 3rd floor) to Karolína Vinická.
  • 4 March 2022 – AMU Grant comittee meeting
  • Until 9 March 2022 – announcement of the results

5. Publishing Activities 

Researchers of approved projects for which publication at NAMU is envisaged are required to agree with the director of NAMU by 30. 4. 2022 on a binding timetable for preparing the publication. Materials for publication shall be submitted to the editorial committee according to the timetable stipulated in principles of projects with publication outputs. 

6. Promotion 

Invitations to cultural events supported within the scope of projects, as well as other promotional materials linked to supported projects, must be sent to AMU’s PR Manager, Hana Šťastná, no later than 14 days prior to the event (
