for the allocation and use of targeted support for Specific Academic Research projects in 2022
1. The rules of the AMU Student Grant Competition („SGS“) are governed by The Rector's Decree No.9/2016 and by the Ministry of Education Rules for the Provision of Targeted Support for Specific Academic Research and the addenda thereto.
2. For the year 2022 the Competition is only open for one-year projects implemented between 1 January 2022 and 31 December 2022.
3. The maximum amount available for the support of one project is CZK 250,000. The outcome of the project could be a RIV outcome, diploma thesis or a dissertation.
4. Schedule of the Student Grant Competition
In case that the SVV support from MŠMT is higher than the amount of all supported projects so far, faculties will announce an additional SGS call, no later than March 2022.
5. Funds to cover publication costs can only be included in the applicant’s project budget if the applicant documents the progress of the manuscript (an electronic version of the text can be inserted in the application form). It is, nevertheless, permitted to apply for funds for the implementation of a project whose output will be the manuscript of a book. If this is the case, publication funds may be applied for in the framework of the competition the following year or, alternatively, from the NAMU publishing house’s internal funds, on condition of approval of the manuscript by the NAMU Publishing Committee.
6. All publication outputs resulting from the project must contain the following dedication: ‘This study/publication/output originated at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague as part of the project, “[PROJECT TITLE]”, supported by targeted funds intended for Specific Academic Research, which were provided by the Ministry of Education in 2022 (dedication).’

1. The rules of the AMU Student Grant Competition („SGS“) are governed by Rector’s Decree No 9/2016 and appendix no.1 and no.2 and by the Ministry of Education Rules for the Provision of Special Purpose Support for Specific Academic Research and the addenda thereto.
2. For the year 2021 the Competition is only open for one-year projects implemented between
1 January 2021 and 31 December 2021.
3. The maximum amount available for the support of one project is CZK 250,000.
4. Funds for the cost of edition can only be applied as part of project budgets if the applicant documents the stage of progress of a manuscript (an electronic version of the text can be inserted into the application form). It is permitted to apply for funds for the implementation of a project whose output will be the manuscript of a book. If this is the case, it is possible to apply for the funding of the cost of edition in the subsequent edition of the competition or, as the case may be, after the approval of the manuscript by the NAMU Edition Committee from the publishing house’s internal funds.
5. All publication outputs resulting from the project must contain the following dedication:
‘This study/publication/output originated at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague as part of the project“[PROJECT TITLE]” supported by special-purpose funds intended for the Specific Academic Research provided by the Ministry of Education in 2021 (dedication).
6. Invitations to cultural events supported as part of the projects should be sent to Ms. Hana Šťastná, PR Manager of AMU (hana.stastna@amu.cz) no later than 14 days prior to the event.
7. Competition schedule
Once completed the form can be sent automatically to the Faculty’s grant department for verification via e-mail (sgs@damu.cz, sgs@famu.cz, sgs@hamu.cz). Please note that a signed printed version of the document always has to be submitted to the grant department of the relevant faculty withing the required deadline.
The forms offer an option of saving data for the final report and/or for the budget modification form: this feature will save your time in completing other forms, but you are not obligated to use it and you may complete the other forms manually.
* The forms are in the .zfo format. This format can only be opened and completed using the Software602 Form Filler software, which is available for download from the provider’s website free of charge: download here. (Should you have any difficulties with the form or with Software602 Form Filler, contact the IT Centre, Mr Jiří Charvát: jiri.charvat@amu.cz, tel. 234 244 547.) Alternatively, you can use the web versions of the forms (this is recommended primarily to the Linux and Macintosh OS users), which are now accessible outside the school network as well. The form will maintain the completed data for 31 days.
